We have two new and exciting opportunities for singers and listeners.

On Good Friday, 15th April we will be resuming our great tradition of the ‘Almost Instant’ event when anyone who knows the piece can come along and join with us for the evening. Everyone, singer and listener, pays £5 towards a donation to the Church’s chosen charity. This year we will be tackling again Stainer’s Crucifixion. It’s a wonderful Victorian melodrama of a piece. It wallows in unashamed sentiment and emotion, which makes it enjoyable to sing or listen to but an easy target for ‘serious’ music critics. It includes several well-known hymns and the beautiful and oft-sung anthem ‘God So Loved the World’.

We hope to have refreshments available in the Church following the rehearsal.

We are planning even greater things for summer, when we will be singing Alexander L’Estrange’s Zimbe! With its traditional African songs set in a jazz style. Watch this space.

Saturday 2 July at Seaford Baptist Church.

Please do join us. It’s good to be back.
