Sat, 31 Jan 2026: 11:00am View details | Book tickets Come and join SCS for a fun and instructive Messiah choruses workshop with our inspiring Music Director Veronica Fewkes and wonderful pianist Gavin Stevens. Tea, coffee and a generous, homemade buffet lunch are all included in the ticket price (£10 SCS members, £16 non-members). You can bring your own score (Novello, Watkins Shaw edition) or hire one for an extra £4.
We will finish the day with a sing through of all the choruses we've learnt together (see below for list). Audience welcome to this final hour (£5)

Session 2: 13.00 - 14.15
Cake break: 14.15 - 14.30 (SCS baking skills put to the test)
Session 3: 14.30 - 15.45
Tea Break: 15.45 - 16.00
Sing through/performance 16.00 - 16.45
If you've not sung Messiah before, or for a while, and would like to familiarise yourself with the your part then Choralia is an excellent free resource. The first box (with the metronome and keyboard symbols) is a good place to start as you will hear your line very clearly. You can listen and sing along with or without the score infront of you.
