Well done everyone for singing so well again on Monday evening.

With just two rehearsals to go, I’d like to cover the awkward corners this coming Monday 30th June and then the following Monday, run the whole programme. If at all possible, I hope to cover 9 pieces in the next rehearsal.

Some pieces just need a refresher.

1. Bennet - All Creatures are merry minded - Book 1 p1 - first couple of pages are quite a challenge as the speed is fast.
2. Gibbons - The Silver Swan - Book  -  p9
3. Stanford - The Bluebird - Green p9 - we need to keep in tempo with this one to help with the slow shifting chords.
4. Delius - To be sung on a summer night - Green p50 - maintaining our speed will help with this one too. You made good progress on this one last Monday.
5. Harrison - Here comes the sun - Book 2 p1 - rhythm and meter are tricky in this one but we’re on it
6. Ireland - The Hills - Green p13 - you sing this really well but we haven’t done it for a while
7. Lauridsen - Dirait-on - Book 1 p29
8. Gjeilo - The Rose - Book 1 p36 - we need to cement the last section
9. Elton John - The Circle of Life - Book 2 p27 - need to learn the structure/turning back/repeats etc
